The Spits at The Met, Providence 2/2912 (by MrLexiRae)

Video I took last night. brainmydamage is my personal tumblr.

Interview with DI in May of 1990. They get accused of being sexist fag-bashers a few times (it WAS the nineties) but overall seem like pretty down to Earth dudes. The last part seems to have been ripped out before this issue fell into my possession but the interview was basically over. Send it to me if you have it for some reason. They’d been a band for about a decade at this point and had been through a few lineup changes too. Also, no one seems to care about DI except me.

Maximum RocknRoll interviewed Los Crudos in Chicago on August 21, 1992 and published the piece in the February ‘93 issue. At the time, the band had only existed for about a year and only had tracks released on a compilation (remember this is pre-internet). Lots of interesting stuff about Mexico in this one.

Interview with Anti-Cimex from March 1987. Kind of at a weird point in their career and a semi-boring interview, but whatever.

Interview with Flux of Pink Indians from August 1992. Not really my thing. but it’s for all you peaceful little punkies. Enjoy.

“What’s the Scoop?” from August 1992. The question is “Is New York still a leading center for punk?” In my opinion, shit was pretty weird/questionable back then for both NYC and MRR. These people are kind of silly, but at least one dude agrees that Long Island sucks.

Eight page interview with Ultimo Resorte, published in June 2007. They were so unhappy and truly hated back in the eighties and genuinely helped invent Spanish punk. This interview shows just how different the first years of punk were in Spain in comparison to what other, more developed areas were experiencing. What a badass group of people!

Interview with Leatherface, November 1992

Letter to the Editor that GG Allin wrote from prison in November 1992. It’s pretty clear how far gone he was at this point. He would famously die a year later just after his release.

Pictures, reviews and interviews from my collection of (mostly) Maximum Rock'N'Roll back issues.
